Set the oven to 350F
Mix together flour, baking soda & baking powder
Melt butter, and add sugar, salt, spices and molasses
Add egg and mix well
Add flour and other dry ingredients
Mix on medium/low until dough is formed. Dough will be slightly sticky.
Divide dough into two parts. Wrap with cling film and set in fridge for 1 hour.
Once dough has been chilled, roll out using rolling pin to 1/2" thickness.
Use cookie cutter to make gingerbread shapes.
Place on a foiled baking tray in the oven for 14-18 minutes. Cookies will turn slightly brown at edges.
Set cookies aside to cool down completely.
Decorate your cookies.
