Slime is the best thing ever! Especially for those little hands that like to get messy! This see through slime is a favourite in our house. Not only is it fun to play with but it is mesmerizing to watch. It looks almost like water running.

And the best part is that you don’t need many supplies. Only 3 items are needed.

All You Need Is;

  • 1 Cup of Clear Glue
  • 1/2 Cup of Water (divided)
  • 1/2 Tsp Borax Powder

Thats it!!

Easy Peasy Slime

With only 3 ingredients it is the easiest slime to make seriously! This see through slime can be modified into glitter slime or you can add food colour to it. We used a similar recipe to make our rainbow slime. You can check that out here!

Without food colour or glitter, this simple slime recipe only needs 3 ingredients and getting it right is easy peasy. Making sure to add gradually will prevent this slime from turning too sticky or gooey.

Start by adding 1 cup of clear glue into a 1/2 cup of water. Mix together until combined.

1 Cup of Clear Glue
1/2 Cup of Water

To add the borax it is best to measure out and add it to warm water. Borax is a washing agent and when using in slime recipes will help to bind the slime.

If you don’t have Borax at hand, you can also use contact solution. So long as it has boric acid in it, it should still work the same way.

Start by adding 1/2 tsp of Borax to a 1/2 cup of warm water. Stir in the powder until it goes slightly cloudy. Gradually add the Borax mixture into the glue mixture. Doing it gradually will prevent your slime from going too gloopy.

The slime will start to bind as you add the Borax mixture. Once it starts to stick to your spoon you’ll know its time to knead.

Kneading The Slime

Remove the slime from the bowl and place into a dry container. Start to knead with your hands. The slime will feel slightly sticky to start with but after some pressing down with your hands it should become more pliable.

And your slime is ready to play with!!

Squishy
Stretchy
See Through

This stuff is seriously mesmerizing to watch! We made some time lapse videos and had it droop down almost like water. It was very cool to watch! My daughter enjoyed stretching it out and looking through it. You can also roll it into a ball.

If you place the slime on the edge of a table and put a container on the floor, the slime will slowly droop and hang over the table into the container.

And as you can see it really does look like water.

Surprisingly the slime is easy to play with. It does stick to your hands a little whilst playing with it. However if you push your hands and fingers into the slime it should easily slide off your hands. And when you come to wash it off, soap and water works best.

*Be warned this is NOT an edible slime recipe so make sure to keep an eye on children not putting it into their mouths!

I know I say this every time but honestly this is one of the funnest slime recipes we have made. My kids just love slime and we love experimenting with different ingredients.
