Magnet Faces < Crafty-Mummy

These magnet faces are so fun! There is a little prep involved. However if you are crafty like me, it will be be a fun project! And it will keep the kids busy for a while once they are done. These magnet faces are also good to take out on rainy days or maybe have stored away in busy bags.

All that’s needed for these are;

Magnet sheets
Glue sticks
Scissors

You can purchase magnet sheets that have a sticky back. We have used these before and they are great but fiddly when you are cutting the pieces out. These magnet sheets work just as good, but you do need glue sticks at hand.

Firstly cut out your face pieces. You can cut them out as squares if it is easier and less work. I chose to cut our pieces out as the shape of the individual features.

Glue your pieces to your magnet sheet. These sheets are pretty thick but a decent pair of scissors should cut the pieces out with ease.

Once the pieces are cut out, make 3 piles in preparation for the kids to make their faces. This way they aren’t searching through trying to find a nose or a mouth!

For your work station you can use anything that attracts magnets.

These large pizza trays worked great. You can use a baking tray or even your fridge will work!

Let The Fun Begin!

Then let the kids have fun making faces. My two had fun making silly faces with the different eyes. You can switch up pieces and make a whole bunch of crazy faces.

My daughter wanted to give her face some hair. You could lay some paper down on top of the tray and kids can add extra facial features like hair and ears by drawing them on.

We got out the papers and markers later in the day so the kids enjoyed adding more details to their faces.

The kids got really creative with their face pieces and had a little fun with them at the end too.

Its all about using their imagination and just having fun with it! We giggled at some of the faces. We talked about eye colour, and how everyone has different features than the next person.
