If your kids are anything like mine when it comes to eating, they’d eat pizza every single day! Thats not an exaggeration 🤣

Actually my daughter just recently got a taste for it so we thought we’d get adventurous and make our own. There are a ton of recipes online to make pizza from scratch so we found the easiest and quickest one!

The dough was pretty easy to knead. We threw all the ingredients into a bowl until the dough started to become a ball. It did get a little sticky so we just added a little more flour. This recipe didn’t have to sit for long which was good because my two don’t have much patience lol! I stuck a tv show on for them and gave the dough 15 minutes to set while the oven was heating to 400F. This dough doesn’t really rise much but because of the yeast it cooks well.

The kids enjoyed rolling it out. We then placed the pizzas into our preheated oven for 7-9 minutes until slightly crisp and the edges had a bit of colour to them.

Adding Toppings

I placed different toppings out in bowls for the kids and they got to work decorating their pizzas.

We just used regular pizza sauce and threw our toppings on. The kids had fun making faces with the different toppings, however my daughter pulled most of them off when her pizza came out the oven lol! Oh well we did try 😆

Yummy!

The kids loved them they were a big hit and the fact that they made them themselves made them proud! 👍🏻

Equipment

  • Bowls
  • Rolling Pins
  • Wooden Spoons
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Whisk
  • Extra Bowls (for toppings)
  • Baking Sheet/Pizza Tray
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 2 pckts Yeast
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 5 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp Salt

Toppings

  • Cheese
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Mushrooms
  • Ham
  • Tomatoes
  • Onions
  • Sweetcorn
  • Pepperoni
  • Spinach
  • Peppers

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F in a large bowl, mix the yeast in the warm water until the yeast is dissolved. Stir in the olive oil, flour, and salt until the dough becomes a ball. Add a little more flour if you find that your dough is too sticky.
  • Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and allow it to sit on your stovetop while the oven is warming up, for 15 minutes. (Note: this dough will not really rise- you just want it to sit for a short time so that it will be easier to roll out) Divide the dough into balls. Depending on how big you want your pizzas you can get about 12 balls. This dough can also be stored in the freezer so you have extras for another day.
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper or nonstick foil, pat out the dough until it is very thin, placing it on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 7 to 9 minutes until the crusts are set but not brown.
  • Top with sauce, cheese, and other desired toppings.
  • Bake in the 400°F oven for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is starting to melt and the crusts are golden brown.
  • ENJOY! 😋🍕
