What’s better than regular bubbles? Giant bubbles of course lol!
Bubbles are the best thing since sliced bread! Seriously, who doesn’t love bubbles?! This recipe is one of the best we’ve done when it comes to bubbles and we couldn’t NOT share it!
I have to admit, I was cynical when we were making these and didn’t think they would be a success. For some reason whenever we’ve tried making our own bubble mixture, it never goes well. So you can imagine our excitement when we discovered how awesome these were?
With only a few ingredients, it’s very easy to make these bubbles. Most of these items are usually around the house. However there is one small ingredient, which may just be the secret to how awesome these bubbles are!
You will need;
- 1/2 Cup of Corn Starch/Corn Flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 Cup of Blue Dawn Dish detergent
- 1 Tbsp Glycerine
- 6 Cups of Water
Thats it!!
This little ingredient is definitely the secret to getting the bubbles that you get with this mixture. We have tried to improvise and use other oils and liquids. It just doesn’t create the same bubbles.
Glycerine can be purchased in most stores and online.
DIY Bubble Wand!
To make a DIY bubble wand, all we used was a couple of straws and some string. The string is threaded through both straws and tied in a knot. As pictured.
The wider the hole between each straw, the bigger the bubbles.
Giant Bubble Fun!!
Wow! Were these giant bubbles the best! I was pleasantly surprised to see the results. My son was so amazed by how big they were.
The best thing about these bubbles were how long they went on for. Every time we thought they would pop or separate, they just kept going. We’ve made homemade bubbles many times and they’ve never been as stretchy and held themselves together as well as these.
We couldn’t believe how much ‘bubble’ we got from one dip in the mixture. It just went on and on! 🤗
The mixture seemed slimy and didn’t look like it would do much. Boy were we wrong lol! And it lasted ages too. In fact the more bubble mixture you use, the better the bubbles get.
I would definitely recommend making these if you are looking for some outdoor fun this summer! Best bubbles ever!
